also represents Ventura County at the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) and the
National Association of Counties (NACo), among others. As Chair of the FPBGSA, she led a
diverse coalition of farmers, environmentalists, and water professionals to finalize a
Groundwater Sustainability Plan, safeguarding the future of the Santa Clara River Watershed
Basin.

Before joining the Board of Supervisors, Kelly Long served as a Trustee for the Pleasant Valley
School District from 2012 to 2016. Her professional background includes over 25 years as an
entrepreneur and business executive, with extensive experience in budgeting, fiscal
accountability, collective bargaining, and contract negotiations. She holds a degree in
Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and earned six patents
during her career in the biomedical industry.
